ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Semi-detached cottage in Bakhuizen in the Gaasterland region of Friesland. This holiday cottage is bordered by a joint entrance to the owner's house. The house is also accessible through the sliding doors that lead to the garden and the terrace. On the ground floor there is a living room with open kitchen and a spacious bedroom. The bathroom with a shower that has steam attachments for 2 persons, is located between the living area and the bedroom. Above the living area there is a mezzanine. The seat on the mezzanine can serve as a sofa bed so that 4 people can stay in the house. The house is in a beautiful and peaceful spot amidst the natural beauty of Gaasterland, an area in the southwest of the province of Friesland. Typical of the area are vast farmlands and lots of ditches and lakes. This is, therefore, an ideal area for nature lovers, bird watchers and also those keen on water sports. The IJsselmeer dyke is 2 kilometres from the house. There are several sand beaches here for swimming. Well-known and some great places worth visiting in the area include Stavoren, Hindeloopen and Sneek. Golf; Gaasterland golf course (7 km).
