ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Detached holiday house with private pool on a fenced property in a very quiet location 1.5 km from the village of San Leonardo, about 10 km east of Lucca. The holiday house consists of a main house with 2 bedrooms and an annex with 1 bedroom. All rooms in the annex are also accessible by wheelchairs and there are special fittings in the bathroom. The house is nicely furnished, with the annex having more modern furniture than the main house. There is a beautiful garden and swimming pool and a magnificent view over the mountainous and wooded surroundings. For shops you can go to San Leonardo; for a larger supermarket you can go to Capannori or Lucca. The house is in a region that is ideal for walking and cycling (for the experienced rider because of the climbs). There are several typical villages to visit. Along the motorway you can reach the magnificent cultural cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence in no time. Smaller towns too like Montecatini and Prato are worth visiting, as well as the villages of Vinci (with interesting museums about Leonardo da Vinci) and Collodi (well known for Pinocchio). North of Lucca is the Garfagnana, a beautiful area with forests and lovely villages. In addition a day at the seaside is a good idea (Viareggio, approx, 33 km).
