ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Detached house with private garden and swimming pool, located in a quiet neighbourhood just outside the town of Barga. This house is simply but nicely furnished and you can enjoy a stunning view over the Apennine hills. Barga is situated approximately 40 km north of Lucca and about 55 km from the sea at Massa and Forte dei Marmi. The house is in the beautiful Garfagnana region, characterized by forests and hills/mountains. Barga, with its beautiful cathedral and typical streets is thought to be the best base for exploring this region. You can go for wonderful walks and visit lovely villages such as Seravezza, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Borgo a Mozzano, Ponte a Moriano, Bagni di Lucca (with its spa) and San Pellegrino in Alpe that has an interesting folk museum. Of course, the beautiful city of Lucca, with its many sights, as well as the slightly more distant Pisa and La Spezia are all worth a visit. Along the coast there are various places for swimming.
