ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION THE HOLIDAY PARK Holiday park Extertal is quietly situated on the edge of a nature reserve, just outside the village of Rott. The woody and hilly scenery of the Weserberland that surrounds the park offers many opportunities for walking and biking. At a distance of 20 km, you will find the town of Hamelin, which may be familiar to you as the setting for the famous fairy tale 'the Pied Piper of Hamelin'. The park has been split up into two parts. One part consists of the approx. 120 attractive and roomy houses built on generous parcels. The other part, approx. 100 m from the houses, is the recreation area. This set-up guarantees tranquillity in the park. FACILITIES Reception, restaurant, bar with terrace, kiosk where you can do your most basic shopping, billiard room, laundry service via the reception, soccer field, beach volleyball area, playground, miniature golf, 2 tennis courts (asphalt/concrete) and a pony for the kids. There are many opportunities for horse-riding in the surroundings. On two locations within a 30-km radius you will find an indoor swimming paradise and there is a large leisure lake, the Doktorsee, near Rinteln at 10 km. In Rinteln you will also find a large supermarket. Also, you have free admission to the open air swimmingpool Weserangerbad in Rinteln, at 10 km (open from 15/5-15/9). ENTERTAINMENT In summer there is an entertainment programme with, amongst other things, sports tournaments for children and barbecue, folklore and music nights for adults. ACCOMMODATIONS The comfortable semi-detached chalets are of Swedish make. Every chalet has been equipped with, amongst other things, a refrigerator, electric cooker with 4 rings, microwave, coffee maker, satellite colour TV, electric heating and garden furniture.
