ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION THE HOLIDAY PARK The holidaypark Ronshausen is situated on the border of the regions Thüringer Wald and Hessen nearby the village of Machtlos. Machtlos is situated 30 km west of Eisenach. The park is located on a hill close to the Richelsdorfer mountains and the woodlands of the Seulingerwald. The Thüringer Wald region is characterized by an idyllic hilly landscape with narrow valleys, villages where all sense of time seems to have been lost, a few industrial towns, woodlands and pastures. In he town of Eisenach, birthplace of the famous composer J S Bach, visits can be made to the Wartburg castle with Luther's study, several museums and some beautiful squares. A little further away there are the villages of Wildungen, a health resort with wells said to have healing powers, and Waldeck with its castle.
