ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Quietly set, detached villa with fine well-shaded grounds and a big round swimming pool. The house is situated on the outskirts of the village of Meyreuil. In Plan de Meyreuil most of the groceries can be purchased. Behind the house runs a small canal, the Canal de Provence (the grounds are fenced on this side of the house, though). Alongside this canal long quiet walks can be ventured upon. A few hundred meters from the house, a marvellous view can be enjoyed on the Montagne de Sainte Victoire, famous trough the paintings of the well-known French painter Cézanne. Meyreuil is situated approximately 10 km southeast of the beautiful and lively town of Aix-en-Provence with its excellent shopping streets and many indoor and outdoor cafés ont the Cours Mirabeau; the place to watch and be watched. The beautiful port city of Marseille, with its charming old centre, is also well worth visiting. Other daytrips can be made to the mountains of the Massif de la Sainte Baume, to the Luberon and its magnificent landscapes and charming villages or to the Montagne de Ste Victoire. You can spend a day at the beach, near La Ciotat or Cassis From Cassis it is possible to view the ‘calanques’ (bays) by tourist motor-boat. Golf: between Fuveau and Rousset (10 km).
