ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Beautifully restored, nearly 300 year old, natural stone house with a private swimming pool near the village of Accons. Accons is located slightly southeast of the lively town of le Cheylard, beautifully situated in mountainous surroundings. The superb view of the valley and the mountains can be enjoyed from the grounds and by the swimming pool. Accons is situated southeast of the city of Valence and 50 km north of Aubenas. The house stands on a hill and comes with extensive, afforested grounds (14 hectare), planted mainly with chestnuts; a tranquil holiday with an abundance of privacy is guaranteed. The swimming pool is laid out with rockery and a fountain and is secured with a fence and an alarm. It can be heated and maintained at a constant temperature of at least 22°C in the early and late season. The house itself is divided into three sections which are interconnected. The house is especially suited for accommodating three families, without loss of privacy. The main section ('Initial') accommodates 5-7 persons and consists of a living room with a kitchen area, sitting and a dining area, a fireplace, and a wood stove; a toilet; a bathroom with a bath and a toilet; a bedroom with a double bed (1.60 m wide) and a single bed; a second, spacious bedroom with two single beds, bunkbeds, and a baby's cot. The second section ('Grange') accommodates 3-5 persons and consists of a living room with a dining table, a kitchen area, and a double sofa bed; a bedroom with a double bed (twin-beds 1.80 m wide) and a single bed; a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. Finally, there is a studio ('Ecurie') accommodating 2-3 persons, which consists of a sitting area (single sofa bed), dinning area, kitchen area, a sleeping area with a double bed that can be partitioned off (twin beds, 1.60 m wide), a toilet, and a bathroom with a bath and a toilet. Every section comes with a television, DVD-player and CD-player. The unspoilt scenery of this area guarantees tranquillity and unbridled enjoyment for cycling and walking enthusiasts. Groceries can be purchased in le Cheylard, a 5 minute drive away by car. This region offers an abundance of tourist attractions: the surrounding, rugged mountains of the Ardèche; the fine cities of Aubenas, Privas, Valence, and Montélimar; the charming villages of Lamastre, St Agrève, and Antraigues sur Volane; the source of the Loire river at de Gerbier de Jonc; the Gorges de l'Ardèche a bit further away, or the Provence and the Languedoc regions with beautiful cities such as Valence, Montélimar, Orange, Arles, Uzès, Nîmes, and Avignon. There are numerous rivers in the vicinity with good swimming and fishing possibilities. Recreational lake east of le Cheylard.
