ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Holiday house on the island of Ile de Noirmoutier, nearby the village of Barbatre, only 700 m from the sandy beach. The house is attached to the neighbours' house by means of a garage. The neighbours live in Nantes and inhabit the house occasionally during the weekend. The daily conveniences can be purchased in Barbatre. There are two ways of reaching the island: via the bridge at La Barre de Monts or via the Passage du Gois. The Passage du Gois can only be crossed at low tide. The trip is quite an attraction. The island offers good walking and cycling opportunities. The salt extraction fields near Noirmoutier, Noirmoutier itself, and the harbours of l'Herbaudière are special attractions. The offshore island of l'Ile d'Yeu is an excellent destination for a daytrip and can be reached from Noirmoutier. Sandy beach: 700 m. Golf: St Jean de Monts (20 km).
