ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Fully detached, new and very well furnished holiday home in a beautiful rural setting with a lovely large private swimming pool. There is a fantastic view from the house of a large part of the Pyrenees mountain chain. The house is tastefully furnished and consists of a main house, a separate guest house (only accessible from the exterior via a roofed section) and a separate cottage for sleeping. The main house has a large living room with fireplace, a spacious kitchen and bar area with open fireplace, a mezzanine with a cosy sitting area, and a "Cellier" (utility room) that houses a washing machine, freezer and a private safe. In the colder months there is under floor heating that makes for a cosy, warm house. This three-roomed house is an ideal holiday destination for friends. The house is not suitable for small children, because of the open spaces, and only babies who are not yet able to walk and children over 12 are allowed by the owner. However, well-behaved pets are welcome. There are almost no cars here and there are woods two minutes away by foot along a small country road adjacent to the property. The house is situated outside the built up areas of the village of Cardeilhac on a slope where the grapes were formerly grown. The great attraction of this house is a panorama of more than 270 degrees across the Pyrenees, a magnificent view that changes every hour. From the large terraces there are views over the valleys, where in the summer months farmers take care of their crops. On the extension of the covered terrace there is a swimming pool (10x5 m) with outdoor shower and lighting. The neighbours are some distance away. The main elements of this location are: peace, comfort, nature, privacy and a fantastic view. This part of France is well known for its clean air and a relaxed lifestyle. The house is southwest of the lovely city of Toulouse called ''La Ville Rose" on account of its brick buildings, and north of the picturesque town of St Gaudens. Cardeilhac lies between Boulogne sur Gesse and St Gaudens. These two places are well known for their great music festivals and summer festivals, mainly frequented by British and French tourists. In the vicinity there are some very picturesque villages such as St Béat, St Bertrand de Comminges, Cirès, St Martory and Alan en Comminges. Many of them have lovely Romanesque churches. The Arboretum (flora and fauna of the Pyrenees) in Cardeilhac (5 min away) is definitely worth a visit, as are the ruins of a Roman villa nearby. In this region, the Midi Pyrenees, it's nice and pleasant to eat out for a reasonable price. It is about an hour's drive to Spain with its low taxes on things such as: alcohol, tobacco and petrol. Trips to the Pyrenees are a must. There are mountain peaks above 3000 meters at Bagnere de Luchon, with a multitude of opportunities for walking. For cycling enthusiasts there are many mountains famous from the Tour de France such as the Col de Peyresourde, the Col de Portet d'Aspet and the Col du Tourmalet. There are plenty of sports facilities in the area, tennis, rafting, golf, paragliding and horse riding all within no more than about 20 minutes to 1 hour. There are also many possibilities for walks.
