ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION A detached house built entirely of natural stone on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Cazilhac (more precisely in Cazilhac le Bas). The house is in a quiet location with a splendid view over the woods and the surrounding hills. There are splendid walks from the house in the mountains and the woods or to the superb rivers Hérault and Vis. You can reach the neighbouring village of Ganges on foot. The path takes you past a couple of waterwheels that are still in use. For most of your daily groceries you can go to the engaging and bustling town of Ganges. Ganges is situated at the foot of the rugged Cevennes mountain range (about one and a half kilometres to the north). Ganges is to the north of the famous, beautiful city of Montpellier There are numerous trips you can make: the Cevennes; the cities of Montpellier, Nîmes and Béziers; to the many enchanting villages such as St Hippolyte du Fort, Anduze, Ganges, St Guilhem le Désert, le Vigan en Sauve; to the coast at Agde or Palavas; and to the superb Cirque de Navacelles - a very strange hollow in the mountains. Also definitely worth visiting are the caves at the wonderful Grotte des Demoiselles in St Bauzille de Putois. Canoeing is possible on the river Hérault at Laroque. Golf: Montpellier 30 km.
