ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Detached residence next to the hamlet of Massiès between Anduze and Saint Jean du Gard in the Cévennes. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley of the Gardon river from the terrain with a lot of shade. You can go swimming in this river at about 250 m from the house. A tourist steam train passes by the terrain 8 times a day, a great attraction for children. You can go to St Jean du Gard or Anduze for all your groceries. Moreover, you will find very nice markets in these villages in the Summer. There are picturesque places nearby like Lasalle, Anduze, St Hippolyte du Fort and St Jean du Gard. Many more excursions can be done to the Mediterranean see, the beautiful cities of Arles and Nîmes with their Roman monuments, Avignon, Uzès and of course the mountains in the Cévennes. Further by Mialet you will find the beautiful caves of Trabuc and the Musée du Désert, a museum on the Huguenots (who came originate from this region) era in France. One can go hiking, canoeing, cycling (for sports cyclists) and horseback riding in the area. Swimming pool: St Jean du Gard (5 km).
