ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Fully detached villa with a splendid large private pool and a wonderful view over the surrounding forests and hills. The house consists of the main level with an open kitchen in the dining room (you can also reach the 50m2 terrace with its childproof fence and brick barbecue from the dining room), the living room with sitting area, 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a wonderful massage shower and separate toilet. On the lower level there is a garage and a fourth bedroom with a bed (160 cm wide), plus a shower and separate toilet This house is ideally situated to discover the very interesting area and to explore the many hiking trails around the house that make it possible to discover your surroundings in an active way. The house is 3 km from the river Lot that meanders through the landscape. The river widens at Caix/Luzech (8km) where you can also go swimming and sailing, ride pedal boats and go canoeing (available for rent). You can also swim in the recreational lake in the nice town of Catus (7km). Surfboard and pedal boat hire is also available at the lake. It is about 10 km to the beautiful town of Cahors, where you can admire the old town and the famous Pont Valentré, the oldest Gothic bridge still in use in Europe. Cahors is also famous for its wines. Wine tasting is just a stone's throw away at one of the many vineyards. In half an hour you can reach the medieval towns of Saint Cirq-Lapopie and Puy-l'Eveque on the river Lot. The famous village of Rocamadour is further away (55km) but is well worth making the trip. In addition, you just have pay a visit to the Grottes du Pech Merle in Caberets (30km), where 1200 metres of prehistory goes past you. After all this, if there is still time, a superb destination is the "Périgord Noir" in Dordogne, around the city of Sarlat. There are shops and a tennis court in Espère (3km), a bank, post office and a market in Mercués (5 km). For more extensive shopping you can go to Cahors.
