ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Former coach house of the Castle of Porcheresse (B69.064) situated on 40.000m² of land. The house dates from the 19th Century and was completely renovated in 2003. The interior has been simply decorated and offers extra facilities such as a sauna. A 70m² attic with children’s play facilities can also function as a meeting room. The castle itself can also be rented. Within the grounds, guests can make use of both houses and the rooms within them independently of each other. Porcheresse lies in the south of the Ardennes, in the region of the Haute-Lesse, approximately 40km (24.85 mi.) to the south-east of Dinant. While this region is one of the most beautiful in the Ardennes it is not over-run with mass tourism. In the hilly landscape, dotted with woods and farmland, you can enjoy lovely walks, especially along the Lesse Valley. In addition you will find quaint villages with characteristic village centres, such as Daverdisse, Séchery, Our, Lesse and Sohier. Within a range of approximately 30 minutes (driving) you will find many tourist attractions such as the Rochefort Caves, the Cathedral of Saint-Hubert, and Bouillon with its Medieval Castle. A variety of sport and recreation opportunities are available year-round. The nearby Euro Space Centre offers anyone with an interest in astronomy and space travel the opportunity to learn more about this field. Sport activities such as abseiling, bicycle tours and guide-lead walks can be organised here, as can catering. Contact us for more information.
